Bio & Info
James A. Jimason is a dynamic author and speaker with eight published books. His works are both insightful and thought provoking. He published his first book in August of 2003. Then on November 3rd, he had the honor of having his first book signing, with the late Civil Rights Activist, Dorothy Height. Over the years, he has been fortunate to meet many great actors, authors, and speakers such as: Victoria Rowell, Bern Nadette Stanis (Thelma from Good Times), GregAlan Williams (Remember the Titans & Preacher’s Kid), Jonathan Slocumb (Clyde from the Steve Harvey Show), Mary Monroe, Victoria Christopher Murray, Virginia Deberry & Donna Grant, Carol Mackey, Walter Mosley, Tuskegee Airman Charles E. McGee, and Omar Tyree.
He was chosen to be one of the Featured Authors at the 2010 National Book Club Conference, held in Atlanta, Georgia. Everywhere he goes he passionately speaks about the power of having a personal vision and the need to fulfill one’s Destiny. He firmly believes that the pursuit of happiness is really the pursuit of Destiny. Hence his catchphrase: “Destiny is calling you. Can you hear it?”
In addition to being an author and speaker, he is also an ordained minister. His rebirth experience came on April 15, 1990 – Easter Sunday, after visiting a small church in Washington DC. He experienced the presence of God for the first time and knew, it was time to give his life to Christ and he did. Afterwards, he was baptized, joined the church and became a committed member.
Around September of 1992, the call of God upon his life was revealed in a way that would dramatically change his life forever. The call – to be a Bible Teacher with a logos word. In July of 1995, he gave his first 30-minute sermon and hasn’t stopped teaching since. In August of 1998, he was ordained a minister and has since received a 3-Year Diploma in Ministerial Studies, from the Spirit of Faith Bible Institute. For over twenty years, he has served as a teacher and leader of several ministries, such as: Doormen Ministry, Discipleship Ministry, Small Group Ministry, New Members’ Ministry, and Men’s Ministry Steering Committee.
